SA Police Legacy recognises individuals who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the success, development and advancement of the organisation. Honorary Life Membership is a prestigious recognition that acknowledges those whose service, achievements and commitment have made a meaningful and lasting difference to the organisation and the people and families we support.
To be considered for Honorary Life Membership, a nomination must clearly demonstrate how the nominee meets the criteria outlined in the form (link below).
Nominators are expected to provide specific examples and evidence of the nominee’s contribution, achievements and service.
Honorary Life Membership is intended to be a rare and distinguished honour, with typically no more than one membership awarded in any year. Accordingly, nominations should demonstrate a contribution of an exceptional nature and significance, beyond what would ordinarily be expected through involvement with SAPL.
Nominations for Honorary Life Membership may be submitted to the CEO via email and must be received by 30th September 2026. All nominations will be presented to the Board for consideration and endorsement, with endorsed nominations submitted for ratification at the Annual General Meeting.
Honorary Life Membership is in accordance with the SA Police Legacy Constitution.
