SA Police Legacy Inc. is governed by a board and staffed by a team of five (5).

Manager & Company Secretary

Karen Cucchiarelli

Reporting to the Board of Directors, Karen is the Manager and Company Secretary of SA Police Legacy. Her responsibilities include sponsorship and partnership engagement, fundraising, implementation of the strategic plan, financial management and general management of SA Police Legacy. Karen has a Certificate in Governance.

Karen has over 15 years’ senior leadership experience and has enjoyed over 25 years in customer service and business development roles. Karen brings corporate experience from banking, private health insurance, business outsourcing and tourism sectors.

Karen works part time Monday – Thursday.

Engagement & Fundraising Lead

Samantha Watson

Samantha joins the team to focus on the successful development, execution and growth of SA Police Legacy’s community.

She will drive initiatives that support and honour our dedicated police community and their families.

Samantha has over 10 years experience in Event Management & Fundraising and excels in fostering meaningful connections whilst boosting donor engagement.

Samantha works part time Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Terella Rosen

Liaison Officer (Legatees)

Terella Rosen

Terella provides emotional and social support to police legatees through phone contact, home visits, hosted events and workshops.

Terella has a Bachelor of Psychology and a Grad Cert in Loss, Grief and Trauma Counselling and has been working and volunteering in the not-for-profit sector for over fifteen years, providing care for grieving families, supporting those affected by suicide, delivering community education, and working with volunteers.

Terella works part time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Liaison Officer (Members and Young Legatees)

Bernadette Sahb

Bernie provides emotional and social support to children who have lost a Police officer parent, as well as SA Police officers who are our members. Bernie hosts numerous events with children and helps provide them with a sense of community and works closely with SA Police to meet new cadets as they join SAPOL .

Bernie has a Masters of Social Work, a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Art/Architecture Appreciation) and a Certificate in Public Relations. Bernie’s social work experience includes working in child protection, foster care, emergency relief and working with families and clients in a case management role.

Bernie works part time Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Nadine Waring

Administration and Event Assistant

Nadine Waring

Nadine provides operational support to the team. She assists with the coordination of member, police legatee and young legatee events, office administration and welcomes all visitors with a friendly smile.

Nadine joins the team with extensive experience in the tourism industry and has enjoyed working abroad for many years.

Nadine works part time Monday to Thursday.
