Our response to COVID-19

Police Legacy SA Logo

Hello members, police families and supporters,

Since the announcement of COVID-19 it is clear that the world is in unchartered waters and it is important to let you all know what measures are in place to help protect our community.

All events run by SA Police Legacy have been cancelled until the end of April. This includes the Police Legatee trips (Yorke Peninsula trip, the concert at Elder Hall) and the Police Wards event (Treeclimb). Further announcements on events beyond April will be communicated in due course. The Kokoda trek, which was due to depart on 14th April, has been postponed and the new date will be communicated once it is known.

Our staff are no longer available for face-to-face appointments which unfortunately includes police legatee home visits, and the doors at the office remain closed for drop-ins or online order collections. However, all staff ARE AVAILABLE via phone and email and we remain focused on keeping the support to police families strong.

Currently our team are calling all police legatees and providing phone support during these uncertain times. Feedback so far is that these calls are making the world of difference and really are positively enhancing their day, particularly those who are feeling confined to their homes.

It is because of member donations that we are able to provide this on-going support to our police families. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who regularly provides this support to our organisation. Donations remain at just $2.50 per fortnight from our generous SA police officers and the appreciation of this is beyond words.

Thank you and please contact the office if you need our support or would just like a chat.

Our office hours remain unchanged.

Warm Regards,

The entire team at SA Police Legacy.
