National Police Legacy Day Lunch 2026

National Police Legacy Day Lunch – Tickets now on sale

National Police Legacy Day is a significant initiative that brings together Police Legacy organisations from every state and territory to recognise, support, and raise awareness of the vital care they provide to police families. 17 June marks the founding of Queensland Police Legacy – the first Police Legacy – on 17 June 1971. Today, every Australian state and territory has a Police Legacy organisation.

In South Australia, this important day will be marked at the annual National Police Legacy Day Lunch, at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

This year’s lunch centres on the theme strength when the unthinkable happens. We are honoured to welcome Police Commissioner Grant Stevens APM LEM who will share deeply personal reflections on how he found strength following the profound loss of his son Charlie a day after Brevet Sergeant Jason Doig was killed on duty.
