Paracord Wristband

Paracord Wristband

Over the years in SAPOL I have seen firsthand the trauma and impact on Police, their colleagues, and their friends and families.  Making the thin blue line wristband was a way of being able to contribute towards Police Legacy and the men and women in blue and their families, and to acknowledge the unique role they play that can sometimes become a detriment to their own health.

Melanie Burke, SAPOL

To see people wear the thin blue line wrist band is a wonderful feeling and to date $630 has been raised which is a tremendous effort by all who have bought one.  Not only have serving Police members and their families  contributed, but also members of the public which is indicative of the support from the wider community.

“I hope from wearing the wrist band people can gain strength and courage from its symbolism to support and be there for each other, and to survive the traumatic impact policing can sometimes bring.”
