Mount Everest Base Camp - 4th October 2020
Trek 4 SA Police Legacy
Is climbing Mount Everest on your bucket list? If so, this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Taking you to the most iconic base camp of all, and at the foot of the highest mountain on earth, Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) (8848 m), this is one of the world’s best known classic treks.
Mount Everest is so much more than just a mountain, to many people the mountains, particularly Mount Everest, hold spiritual significance as places to come closer to enlightenment and it’s fair to say that the journey to its base camp is more than just a trek. It’s a journey of discovery. Along a route dubbed by some as “the steps to heaven,” every bend in the trail provides another photo opportunity– beautiful forests, Sherpa villages, glacial moraines, and foothills. For adventurers who are not afraid to go beyond, the expedition staff will bring you close to local cultures before opening a window to the top of the world.
We have partnered up with Earth Trails Expeditions to hold a trek to Everest Base camp. This event raises funds for SA Police Legacy as well as offering you a unique opportunity to trek in Nepal. The 18-day trek will commence on 4th October, missing peak season and kicks off well before winter settles in, making it a perfect time of year.
This 18 day trip of a lifetime is $5960pp and includes flights, accommodation, meals, permits, guides and transfers. What’s great is that Earth Trails Expeditions donate $500 back to SA Police Legacy for each person who travels.
